From supportive, female-identifying coding environments to our STEM Leadership and High School Accelerator programs, our GirlCode and teen programs meet student needs inside the classroom and beyond, creating a community of coders and friendships that last.
Our GirlCode program utilizes the same curriculum as our co-ed classes and is open to anyone looking to learn in a safe and supportive female-identifying space. In these welcoming classes, students develop friendships, have fun, and discover opportunities to tackle new challenges in an inclusive environment.
While every one of our classes is intended for students up to age 17, our teen-only high school programs build on foundational skills with opportunities to take on larger independent projects and develop leadership and mentoring capabilities.
We believe that everyone has a right to equitable education in a safe and inclusive learning environment and are committed to increasing access to our high-quality coding programs. Our scholarship program accounts for 25 percent of the students we teach. Our long-term goal as we work towards educational equity is to reach 50 percent of our students through at-cost and pro-bono services.
